Factory Fumigation

The first thing to be considered in factory fumigation is the type of material from which the facility is built. Because gas tightness, which is essential in fumigation, varies according to the material used in the building. These facilities can be made of materials such as concrete, stone or brick that do not leak fumigants or have very low value, as well as metal plate (steel) and wood.

In fumigation of factories, all deposits, covers, valves, etc. that prevent the penetration of gases should be opened, since it is necessary to remove the infection not only in the buildings and walls, but also in the existing machinery and facilities.

Factory fumigation principles are briefly as follows:
· Existing machines should be operated until there is nothing left to grind.
· By hitting the ducts, pipes and equipment with a rubber mallet, the debris between the elevator pallets should be spilled.
The collected infected material should be collected in the fumigation room and gassed or burned.
· The factory must be stopped and all existing machinery, channels, warehouses and conveyors must be completely cleaned.
· A dispensing system that gives fumigant specifically to each unit should be placed.
· Since windy weather causes the concentration of fumigant inside the building to decrease, spraying should be done on windless days.
· Phosphine gas is preferred in factory fumigation.
