Ship Fumigation

While ships can be built in a manner suitable for spraying with the fumigation process of their holds during their construction, there are also some that are not suitable for this process. Ships that have warehouses suitable for fumigation are equipped with equipment to meet the requirements of fumigation. In other words, the ship holds have no connection with the crew and passenger compartments, and they have all the tools and equipment, including the ventilation and aspiration systems required in fumigation. On the other hand, fumigation can be carried out on ships that are not suitable for this process or that were not built for this purpose, by taking the following precautions and by providing the necessary additional materials. This measure can be listed as follows:

· The ship's hold and the compartments containing the crew and passengers should be isolated and their contact with each other should be cut off.
· Sealings of ship hatch covers should be checked and strengthened.
· The hatches of the hatches must be tightly closed. If it is defective, it should be tightly closed with a nylon cover.
· Before the ship hatch covers are closed, the drug distribution system should be placed.
· Ventilation and aspiration systems should be established.
· The evacuation of gas from the ship's hold, which does not have an aspiration system, must be done with the driven aspirator, which is brought in after the hatch covers are opened at the end of the spraying period, and no workers should be unloaded into the hold. However, it is necessary to start the evacuation process of the goods after it is determined that the gas has been completely discharged.
After fumigation, agricultural products can be easily fumigated to the ship's captain, provided that the pesticide is poisonous and the above-mentioned precautions are taken. The point to be considered here is to prevent gas leakage and to provide adequate ventilation by opening the doors at the end of the fumigation period.

Agricultural products can be easily fumigated in wagons and containers, provided that the precautions required by the fumigation technique are taken. In the meantime, the point to be considered is to prevent gas leakage and to provide adequate ventilation by opening the doors at the end of the fumigation period.
